Position Overview
Over the last 14 yrs our Agency has grown to serve over 4000 local households that we proudly consider our State Farm Family! In your role as a Customer Service Representative, you will help these customers adjust their insurance plans to meet the changing demands of their lives. You will personalize your recommendations and connect with those we serve to make them feel valued and appreciated. Our service is what differentiates us from our competitors, and you will be responsible for making it remarkable!

THIS IS NOT A SALES OR COMMISSION BASED POSITION
A typical day in the life of a Customer Service Representative at our Agency could include the following assisting a family with insurance for their new home; helping a customer file a claim after an accident; providing a quote for a new vehicle they are considering purchasing; recommending options to cover unmet needs; taking the confusion out of a complex bill and simplifying it so the customer understands their pricing.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and listening
  • Extremely comfortable with technology
  • Capable of studying for and passing a State Insurance Exam
  • People-oriented
  • Detail oriented
  • Pro-active problem solver
  • Ability to work in a team environment and get along with others
Preferred Background

  • No insurance background required - we will educate and train the right candidate
  • We will only consider candidates who have prior office experience (Insurance, Banking, Healthcare Admin, or Retail) or those who are recent college graduates
  • Salaries will be based on the strength of the applicant and the relevancy of their experience
